An expert french horn and piano player, Ethan Bernstein is back at Camp Sabra for his 6th year! He is from St Louis, just graduated from Clayton High School, and will be attending Johns Hopkins University in the fall. Ethan’s favorite thing about camp is the song sessions after lunch and on Shabbat, and he can’t wait to start jamming out with the campers and learn a bunch of new things from them.

Brett Goodman works as an after school counselor during the school year, so it only made sense that he wanted to finally come to Camp Sabra for the very first time! He is from St Louis and attends Parkway Central High school, and enjoys waterskiing, playing tennis, running, and drawing. Brett already loves the inclusivity that Sabra offers, and he is excited to meet new people, gain long-lasting friendships, and make an impact on campers.

A leader if there ever was one, Nathan Radomyslsky is pumped to be back at Camp Sabra for his 7th summer! He is from St Louis and attends Parkway North High School, where he loves to play sports and be outside with all of his friends. His favorite thing about Camp Sabra is the ability to connect with new and old friends, and he hopes to become even more of a leader.

Josh Horowitz is excited to work his 2nd year on staff for his 8th summer at Camp Sabra! He goes to Ladue Horton Watkins High School in St Louis, and he plays hockey in the winters. Josh loves coming back to camp for the food and all of the nice people, and he hopes to make a lot more friends, memories and experiences while back at camp.

Bennett Essman, a huge Fortnite and sports fan, is attending Sabra for his very first summer and can’t wait to get started. He is from St Louis, and he attends Indiana University, where he majors in Sociology. Bennett is excited for new experiences, as well as to be in nature, and he is looking forward to making new friends and great memories with his campers and co counselors.

Tamas Mile can speak 5 different languages and is as culturally inclined as anyone, and he can’t wait to get started in his first year at Camp Sabra! He is from Hungary, where he is studying in a teaching program and majoring in Hungarian Grammar and Literature, as well as Portuguese Language and Culture. Tamas is impressed with the kindness between the people at camp, and is so excited for the children to come and to make new friends.

Aaron Newar may not be able to touch his toes, but he hopes to touch the hearts of his campers this summer, returning for the 8th time at Camp Sabra! He is from Houston, Texas and attends the Emery/Weiner High School, where he loves to play baseball and Fortnite. Aaron can't wait to be at ropes and tube, and he is looking forward to making new friends and hanging out with his new campers.

Ben Surasky has broken 11 bones, but he plans on being much more careful this summer as he is attending Camp Sabra for the very first time! He is from Georgia and goes to Pope High School, where he is involved in his Jewish Youth Group and loves to play sports. Ben’s favorite thing about Camp Sabra is the beautiful landscapes and the lake, and he can’t wait to see the kids, make an impact on their lives, and gain a better identity of who he is.

Geoffrey Fisher gets to snowboard every weekend at home, but he will trade in his board for a swimsuit this summer at Camp Sabra, returning for his 11th year. He lives in Salt Lake City, Utah, and he will be attending Carleton University in the fall to pursue a major in Biomedical/Mechanical Engineering. Geoffrey’s favorite part about Sabra is having fun with the campers and his fellow staff members, and he is so excited to make new friends.

Reagan Shonk, an expert musician and mathematician, is ready to return to Camp Sabra for his 3rd summer in a row! He is from Independence, Iowa, and he attends the University of Northern Iowa, double majoring in Music Composition/theory and Mathematics. Reagan loves the energy that the golanies bring to camp, and he is most excited for the busses to get here and to gain a whole bunch more memories this time around.

Cousin of the famous WWE Wrestler Ricky Ortiz, Jacob Resnick has been attending overnight summer camps for the past 10 years, but is at Camp Sabra for the first time! He is from Chicago and attends the University of Missouri, where he majors in business and loves to play sports and hang out with friends. So far, he loves the landsports areas, and he hopes to gain a ton of new friends and an expansion of his jewish knowledge this summer.

Aidan Jacoby is currently serving as the 94th international Vice President of BBYO, but he will be spending his 10th summer at Camp Sabra this year! He currently goes to high school at Parish Episcopal School in Dallas, and he enjoys photography and running in his free time. Aidan’s favorite thing about Camp Sabra is the community and all of the friendly people, and he hopes to gain some leadership skills and a nice tan this summer.

Mitch Broddon, a member of a band with his friends, loves the Sabra song sessions and playing music, and can’t wait to return for his 10th summer on the peninsula. He is from St Louis and will be attending the University of Missouri in the fall to major in Music Education. Mitch can’t wait to meet great kids, as well as fellow staff members, and make a whole bunch of new friends this summer.

Michael Kaplan is lucky to have his favorite baseball player follow him on twitter, and even luckier to be back at Camp Sabra for his 5th summer! He is from Houston, Texas and attends Indiana University where he majors in Business. Michael loves to play sports with the campers, and he is so excited to make new friends and more memories again.

Sidney Starr is a character in every sense of the word, and he is returning to Camp Sabra for his 5th summer. He is from St Louis, and recently graduated from Parkway Central High School. Sidney loves to take long walks and just have a good time in general, and he can’t wait to give his campers the same experience that his counselors gave him when he was a camper.

Kyle Murphy is more than excited to start his first summer at Camp Sabra! He is from St Louis and attends UMSL, where he majors in accounting and loves to play sports and video games. Kyle works as a shift lead at Which Which, and he can’t wait to take his leadership skills to the peninsula and help kids have a great summer in the atmosphere he already thinks is awesome.

Not to be confused with one of the Assistant Directors, Sam Pannett is ready to be at Camp Sabra for the first time ever! He is from St Louis and will be attending Missouri State University in the fall, and he loves to play volleyball and basketball. Sam’s favorite thing about Sabra is how nice all the people are, and he can’t wait for Maccabia and to build on his communication skills and live independently.

​Gavin Roth is an Irish twin (siblings less than a year apart), and he can't wait to be back at Camp Sabra for the 9th time! He is from Houston, Texas and will be attending the University of Michigan in the fall to major in Business. Gavin absolutely loves the sail dock, specifically stand-up paddle boarding, and he hopes to make new memories with his campers and try new things.

Seth Horowitz is excited to return to Camp Sabra for his third summer on the peninsula! He is from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and attends the University of Central Florida, where he majors in Electrical Engineering. Seth loves the nature and bonding here at Camp Sabra, and he can’t wait to learn the tools to work better with children as well as give them a tremendous camping experience.

A soccer player for the past 12 years, Jackson Reeves is excited to be at Camp Sabra for his 6th year, and first as a staff member. He is from St Louis and attends Brentwood High School, where he loves to play guitar and fortnite with his friends. Jackson’s favorite thing about camp is chilling in his hammock by the lake, and he is excited to gain responsibility and good relationships with her campers.

Andrew Mannis can play a total of seven instruments, and he is excited to showcase his skills in his 9th summer at Camp Sabra. He is from St Louis, and will be attending Michigan in the fall. Andrew’s favorite thing about Camp Sabra is the people, and he is ready to meet his kids and work at his favorite spot at camp, the sail dock.
