Brittany Blinder is one of 4 Blinder children to attend Camp Sabra at some point, and she is more than excited to return for her 10th summer! She is from St Louis and currently attends Tulane University, where she majors in Political Science. Brittany is pumped for the river trips and a summer of great memories, but even better friends.
Carly Spielberg is more than excited to return to Camp Sabra this summer. She is from St Louis and attends DePaul University, where she majors in Environmental Sciences. Carly loves to dance, and can't wait to dance all summer with her children and make long lasting memories and friendships.
Maggi Medley is a published writer who works for two different publishing companies, and is more than excited to return to Camp Sabra for her 2nd year. She attends Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College where she majors in Agriculture Communications, and she loves to play basketball, watch rodeo shows and write articles. Maggi’s favorite thing about Camp Sabra is getting to know all of the campers, and she hopes to meet more people and make more friends
Molly Opinsky loves to run and hang out in her hammock, and especially loves Camp Sabra, returning for her 10th summer on the peninsula. She is from Washington D.C., and attends Tulane University where she majors in Political Science. Molly loves the shabbat services at camp, and can’t wait to go on the river trip and make a whole bunch of fun memories.
Coming all the way from Cambridge, United Kingdom, Lucy Catterall is ready for her very first summer at Camp Sabra! She attends the University of Lincoln in England, where she majors in English Lit and Drama, and she loves singing and doing drama activities. Lucy is more than excited t o make new friends and meet the campers, and she can’t wait to gain close friends and learn new skills in camp life.
Erica Berman is more than excited to be back at Camp Sabra for her 11th summer! She is from St Louis and just graduated from Clayton High School, but will be attending Indiana University in the fall. Erica loves camp for the pool, and she is ready to get to know her campers and build close relationships with her campers, as well as be someone that they look up to
Kevin Frazier is so excited to be back at Camp Sabra for his third summer! He is from Chicago and attends the University of Missouri, where he majors in Art. Kevin loves coming back to camp for the food, and he can't wait to dance in the dining hall, and get a good thigh tan this summer.
One of 8 siblings, a former army dog trainer in the K-9 bomb sniffing squad and the son of a former camp counselor, Daniel Michelson has made it to Rocky Mount for his very first summer at Camp Sabra! He is from Israel, where he loves to hike, travel and snowboard. Daniel loves camp because of the opportunity to meet new friends from all over, and he can’t wait to make an impact and teach his campers new and valuable things.
Taur Tarnov is from Tallinn, Estonia, and is more than excited for his first summer at Camp Sabra. He attends the University of Worcester in the United Kingdom, where he majors in Counseling Psychology. Taur loves to play soccer, ping pong, and take pictures, and he can’t wait to meet new people and witness a whole lot of new experience while in America.
Joshua Rudman, known by many of his campers as “Gramps,” is back at Camp Sabra for his 6th year, and is Younger Habonim’s Assistant Unit Head! He is from St Louis, and attends the University of Missouri, majoring in Animal Sciences and minoring in Capture Wild Animal Management, as well as religion. Josh has always enjoyed everything that camp has to offer, and he is most excited to make new amazing relationships with everyone around him.
Anthony Zuanich has been coming to Camp Sabra for 5 years, and can’t wait to make friendship bracelets, as well as receive them back! He will be attending the University of Kansas this fall, and he loves to be organized, as he constantly cleans his friends rooms and does whatever he can do to stay neat. Anthony can’t wait to have a blast with his campers and become friends with so many unique individuals.
Currently in the middle of a one year backpacking trip around the world, Benny Drobot is making a stop in Rocky Mount for the summer for his first summer on the peninsula! He is from Israel and attended Nesher Comp High School, where he studied Social Science and loves to hike, play basketball and the guitar. Benny is a huge fan of the lake and nature, and he hopes to learn a little bit about different cultures during his time at Camp Sabra
Jared Steinhart loves to go crazy and have a good time, and can’t wait to do the same for the 10th time at Camp Sabra this summer. He is from Dallas, and will be a sophomore at Michigan majoring in Business. Jared loves Chef Bob’s Sweet n’ Sour Chicken Balls at camp, and he can’t wait to get to know his kids and learn some hip lingo.
Andrew Berger, a music fanatic if there ever was one, is back at Camp Sabra for his 9th summer. He lives in Houston, but will be attending the University of Missouri in the fall to study Finance. Andrew loves landsports and wakeboarding on the peninsula, and he wants to form relationships with his campers, as well as make sure they had an experience as good or better than his camper experience.
Jacob Bowytz is back for his 12th summer on the Peninsula, and he can't wait to get back to the amazing atmosphere! He is from Houston, Texas, and attends the Colorado School of Mines, where he majors in Applied Mathematical Statistics. Jacob loves coming to camp for the nature and shabbat services, and he can't wait to learn new things and make a whole bunch of new friends.
